About · Winter Haven, Florida

You keep hearing you will deal with the owner. This is the owner.

I am Kevin Woolf. I run Woolf IT Solutions, and I do the work. Every business says something like this. The difference here is that there is nobody else for it to have meant.

Why this exists

Small offices deserve IT as reliable as the work they do

I am a Winter Haven-area local, and I started Woolf IT Solutions on a fairly plain idea: a dental practice, a CPA firm or a contractor should get the same standard of technology as a company with an IT department, without having to hire one.

My background is bringing finance and operations discipline to technology, which mostly shows up as an allergy to surprises. Surprise invoices, surprise outages, surprise renewals for something nobody uses. A lot of what I do is remove those before you ever meet them.

The goal is a relationship rather than a ticket queue: one accountable person who knows your business, plans a year ahead, and is genuinely invested in keeping it running. That is the whole model, and it is why the client list is meant to stay a size I can actually serve.

How I work

Four things that are true every time

One person, start to finish

The person who answers the phone is the person who looks at the problem and the person who fixes it. Nothing gets escalated to someone who has to be told your setup from scratch, because there is nobody to escalate it to.

Everything gets written down

Your systems, your accounts, your licences, your recovery plan. Partly because that is how good work is done, and partly because a one-person provider who keeps everything in his own head is a risk to you rather than a convenience.

I run what I recommend

Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, Windows 11, and backups that get restored on purpose rather than assumed. If I have not trusted it with my own business, I am not going to hand it to yours.

Proactive, because reactive is a business model

An hourly shop earns more when things break. A flat monthly plan earns more when they do not. That is not a claim about my character, it is just what the incentives are, and it is why the model is set up this way.

The longer version, including the things I will not promise, is on what I put in writing.

Where I am not the answer

One person is a real constraint, so here it is

Every provider tells you what they are good at. Fewer will tell you where they stop, so you find out later at a bad moment.

  • If your office is past about 50 people, you need a bigger bench than one person. I will say so rather than take the work.
  • If you need somebody physically on site all day, that is not what this is.
  • If you are two people happily running on Gmail and a laptop each, you probably do not need managed IT yet, and I will tell you that too.

And the obvious question about a one-person firm, asked honestly: what happens if something happens to me? The answer is that everything is documented and every account is in your business name, so another provider can pick it up without starting over. You get the owner, and you never get held hostage by that.
